A passion for the healing arts
Danielle Polumbus is an experienced massage therapist with a deep passion for the healing arts and natural therapies. A graduate of The Bio-Chi Institute of Massage Therapy, with degrees in sports science and massage therapy, she has served the Siouxland area since 2010 and never stopped learning, continually expanding into nutritional esthetics and oncology massage.
Book with DanielleMost people would not notice what Danielle notices. She reads a person's energy as they walk in, the look on their face, the way they carry themselves. If there has been an accident or trauma, she can often see it in the body's holding patterns, the gait, compressed shoulders, an elevated or guarded body part, and from there she finds where the real problem lives, sometimes from the feet up, sometimes from the top down.
She reads the tissue itself, its density, how tight it is, how much the body is compensating for a lack of proper movement. Hydration matters too. Properly hydrated, the body is far more pliable and ready to release. As the work begins, the nervous system settles and calms.
Danielle works intuitively, reaching for what each body needs, red light and infrared therapy, cupping, and postural integration among them. For chronic pain or long standing issues, postural integration over several visits helps the body unlearn the patterns it built to cope. She also draws on a love of traditional Chinese medicine and a naturopathic, whole body philosophy of health.
Outside the studio, Danielle stays active and close to nature. She has even transformed her backyard into a squirrel sanctuary. Every session with her is meant to be a genuinely transformative experience, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and restored.
Made in the Studio
Alongside her bodywork, Danielle makes small batch magnesium butters and botanical blends to support rest, recovery, and calm between sessions.
